We worked with Mitre 10 MEGA Napier to brighten the building and reduce operating costs.
Pre-install
The customer was constantly having to replace the bulbs to keep the previous lights working adequately. They also wanted to brighten the building to improve customer and employee experience and reduce operating costs. The lighting control system was working, however some of the daylight sensors were being covered so the lights weren’t dimming effectively.
What we did
We listened to the clients needs and decided upon higher output lights than normal to ensure an exceptional amount of lighting, with special fittings to reduce glare. As the current control system was working well, we ensured our lights were compatible with this to save the client money. We completed the installation process as quickly as possible to reduce the impact on the business and ensured there were no hazards to customers or employees during operating hours. The smooth and speedy install was achieved through regular communications with the client and employees.
Outcome
The lighting levels of the store were significantly increased as a result of our design and install. We are awaiting the results of the power savings for the store, however we have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the employees.
With ultra efficient lights and a new lighting control system we were able to increase lighting levels by up to 200% throughout the store.
